Tim Cook tells lies onstage, and people mindlessly believes him.

One think I noticed during the iPhone 5 keynotes was that Tim said the new iPhone 5 is, and I quote "the world's thinnest smartphone". How thin is it? it's 7.6mm thin, which is 18% thinner than the 4S.
So the thinnest smartphone in the world (the iPhone 5 according to Tim) is 7.6mm thin?
I find this rather strange since there is a very well known Android powered phone which is 7.1mm thin (there are also 2 different version of the Razr which is thinner than the iPhone 5)... There is also this less known Android powered phone which is 6.65mm thin... And then there is this 6.7mm thin Android powered phone.

I guess "worlds fifth thinnest smartphone" didn't sound quite as good.

    1. Go watch the keynotes bro. They even had the words "World's thinnest smartphone" in one of the slides. Go to:
      http://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2012/
and then fast forward to 15 minutes and ~15 seconds in and he will say it loud and clearly, and it's a big flat lie.
