There are other good PSU OEMs out there like for example Enhance and CWT, but if you get one of the units I have listed above then you're pretty much guaranteed to get a very high quality and good unit.

If I am missing some unit(s) then please let me know so I can add it to the list.

  1. My High Current Gamer 520 just died two days ago, now I don't know who to trust anymore :(

    1. Well just because it is manufactured by Seasonic doesn't mean every single unit will be flawless. You probably just had some bad luck.
The High Current Gamer 520 has, according to statistics, only a ~1.89% failure rate within the first year.

  2. so then i was just unlucky, still what would be a good non-seasonic alternative?

    1. Doesn't the Antec High Current Gamer 520 have like a 6 year warranty? You could try to get it replaced. If not then I still recommend one of the PSUs on this list. Other good manufacturers are Cougar, Enhance, Flextronics, Channel Well, Sirtec, Impervio and a few other make good PSUs which often get rebranded. The problem with these is that while a lot of them might be good, not all of them are. For example, Channel Well makes some really good ones, but some of their low end PSUs aren't anything special.
It's best to just go with Seasonic. XFX units are usually very reasonably priced for what you get, especially if you take the mail in rebate which you often get from newegg on XFX PSUs.
